California is known for perfect weather, good vibes and most importantly great food. If you’re visiting, or even if you’re from Los Angeles, here are 5 restaurants and food spots that you have to try! They have some unique items on the menu but I promise you won’t regret it.
Dirt Dog
Dirt Dog embodies Los Angeles’ culture not only by their menu but also their ambiance. The spray-painted walls include some L.A. hip-hop legends such as Snoop Dog, Tupac and Nipsey Hussle. If you like elotes, you would love their Elote Dog, which gives a nice twist to the classic snack. Their lobster bread bun melts in your mouth. They also have other classic items, like fries and even fried Twinkies and Oreos! Whatever you do, do not leave without trying their horchata ice cream. It’s the perfect sweet treat!
Wi Jammin Cafe
Are you a little indecisive for breakfast? Not sure if you want cereal or French toast? If this is the case Wi Jammin Cafe is for you. They have amazing cereal French toast, cheesy eggs, savory potatoes, and even turkey sausage options. They have many options for the French toast such as Fruity Pebbles, Trix, Apple Jacks and more. No matter what your favorite cereal is, they have it! Additional breakfast options include pancakes, waffles, omelet jerk chicken sandwiches, etc.; but I would go with the Fruity Pebble French toast, you will not be disappointed!
The Court Cafe
If you enjoy a southern breakfast, The Court Cafe is for you. Shrimp and grits, lobster and grits, catfish and grits — you name it! Their breakfast menu has plenty of options such as peaches and cream waffles, omelets, peach cobbler oatmeal, and more. Their lunch menu is amazing as well, featuring a variety of po’ boys. One of their most unique items on the menu is the filet mignon and fried lobster burger, you will not find another like it!
Pineapple Express LA
L.A. would not be L.A. if there were not food trucks, the perfect on-the-go meal alternative. There’s no bowl needed when it comes to the Pineapple Express because they specialize in amazing pineapple bowls. The sweet pineapple can be paired with rice and your choice of chicken, shrimp, steak and even salmon. If you are a pineapple lover, this is perfect for you. This restaurant is on wheels and often on the go, so be sure to check their Instagram to see where they will be. Do not leave L.A. without trying this sweet and savory mixture!
Chomp Eatery & Juice Station
If you’re looking for something on the healthy side, Chomp Eatery & Juice Station is the place for you. They have over 30 great juices and cleanses that will leave you feeling refreshed. Their food menu is amazing and diverse as well: Between the salads, wraps, burgers and melts, you will not find it hard to find something you enjoy. Their veggie avocado wrap is amazing, I would totally recommend it! They are located in Santa Monica, and it’s the perfect place to go and grab a bite to eat after checking out the beach.
Is your pick on our list? If not, what restaurants in Los Angeles would you recommend?
