Artist Jackson Wang stands by his own motto of creating history. He’s part of the successful music group GOT7, is an ambassador for brands such as Fendi, Armani and Adidas (to name a few), and even owns his own record label, Team Wang.
Now having designed his very own luxury brand, Team Wang Design, Wang is sure to make it uniquely his own. A simplistic, yet lavish line of all-black wear provides the utmost basics for any street-style closet.
Team Wang made global headlines when Team Wang Design was announced in February, and the dream started to come to life in June when Team Wang announced their vision of “Know Yourself, Make Your Own History.”
Team Wang Design officially launched on July 17 with Team Wang Cookies. The “Cookies” consist of the products in the line, ranging from beanies to utility vests. And this is just the beginning.
If you’re going in blindly, then you might be shocked with the pricing of the items. With the most affordable cookie being the Team Wang Beanie at $54, it’s important to keep in mind that this is not like the merch Wang has released in the past. “The Original,” as this collection is called, consists of luxurious streetwear and lifestyle pieces, featuring t-shirts, basketball shorts, joggers and hoodies. All cookies are designed with matte black and silver contrasting details.
Jackson Wang is known to push his limits and go beyond what music has to offer.
Having grown up in Hong Kong, he went from being a member in the Hong Kong National Fencing Team to being a member of JYP Entertainment’s GOT7. From there, Wang has made his name known in any way possible. Releasing his first solo song in 2017, modeling for the cover of Super Elle Magazine, and appearing in multiple variety shows; it’s no surprise to his beloved fans that the sky really is the limit when it comes to the performer.
A dream that started three years ago turned into reality; all while managing his own label, a busy schedule with GOT7, and partnerships with multiple brands at the same time. Always staying humble and true to himself, Wang makes sure to consistently thank his fans for the abundance of opportunities he has gotten through all the love and support.
